With the 2014 edition of the Berlin Art Prize we continue our close collaboration with the independent art award annually honoring contemporary art from Berlin. The 2014 jury consisted of Cosima von Bonin, Kimberly Bradley, Judith Hopf, Egill Saebjörnsson & Nicolaus Schafhausen.
This year’s design aims to visualize the conflict between the “All for One” approach of the initiators and the inherent “One on One” gesture of an art prize. We utilized the tear to visualize the tension and the conflict between those opposed postures.
Just in its second year, the Berlin Art Prize reached over 1500 submissions. Through the two step campaign we developed a playful set of claims and wordplays that describe how close friendship and hostility can be.
We created various media applications such as flyers, posters, stickers, website, social media content and the exhibition signage system.
